Prenatal Massage
Kathy is a 1989 graduate of Millersville University with an Associate of Science degree in Gerontology. She began her career in healthcare after moving from her hometown to the Lehigh Valley in 1990. She initially assisted Dr. Perelli with patient care in the chiropractic office for several years in the early 1990's and felt that the integration of massage therapy and chiropractic treatment in one setting was such a natural partnership that she decided to pursue additional education and earned her Massage Therapy degree from Health Options Institute in 1996. She has been providing massage therapy treatments for the past 20 years and has expanded her services during that time to include deep tissue, trigger point, chair massage, pregnancy massage, Hawaiian Lomi-Lomi massage and geriatric massage. In 2017, she expanded further to begin helping patients with cellular detoxification by adding Ionic Foot Cleanse treatments to her service offerings. Chiropractic Adjustments
Chiropractic adjustment implemented using an instrument called an Arthrostim (rather than the doctor's hands) which administers rapid, rhythmic "tapping" to align the bone, eliminate the nerve interference and restore balance to the body. Can be utilized with patient in seated position if necessary (rather than the typical face-down on the table position) or any position that is comfortable to the patient.
Subluxation
One of the main causes of pain and disease in the human body can be traced to improper alignment of the vertebrae in your spinal column. This is called a subluxation. Through carefully applied pressure, massage, and manual manipulation of the vertebrae and joints, pressure and irritation on the nerves is relieved and joint mobility is restored, allowing your body to return to its natural state of balance, called homeostasis. Put another way, when the bones in your spine are allowed to go back to their proper positions, the nerve energy can resume its normal flow and your body's natural healing processes can function properly.
