Midwestern College

Despite the 8 hour long courses I took on the weekends during one month in 2013, I learned very little in regards to becoming a successful CNA. I learned most of what I needed to know from my first CNA job, where I worked for two years. The instructors were hard to understand, and when one in particular was asked a question, she did not directly answer the question. The site in which our class did clinical rotations was at a substandard facility. The CNAs at this facility did not train me or my classmates well, and expected us to do the majority of the work. The instructors were not around the entire time. Many of the students taking the course signed up for a weekend course because we were busy during the week, but were expected to work clinicals during the week as well in addition to our weekend classes. My classmates and I were expected to take off of work or school in order to attend a full 8-hour clinical shift. The instructors were not lenient on allowing partial shifts to accommodate busy schedules at all.

I'm not sure who wrote the previous reviews (perhaps current employees there), but everyone I have spoken to who has attended this college has hated it. Do not waste your money at this college.
