Really bad mechanics and manager. Went to the Toyota dealership after them cause my timing belt wore down when I only drove 20 miles then tore almost in half after driving for 1,000 miles. Quality Tire & Automotive said I had a bad pulley, while the Toyota mechanics said "Wrong" timing belt and the belt was put on wrong. Waste of time and money, don't go to Quality Tire & Automotive.

My wife went there because the check engine light was on and the car was shaking (alignment of course). I was at work unfortunately, so I could not be there. They told her that she has a split in two tire and some metal was showing on 3 of the tires. This, my dear readers, was a lie. I went and got the tires from them and brought them home. Now know this, I am, by no means, an expert on tires, nor are the guys at this tire shop. There was no metal showing and the only problem I saw was a little alignment rubbing on the ends of the tire. Most of the time, the fix would be to rotate, balance, and align. O no, no my faithful readers, we ended up shelling out close to 500 dollars for brand new tires that were not needed. So if you find yourself stuck for some reason in Winder, either by choice or mere coincidence, do not, I repeat do not even stop here for the free coffee. Oh wait the coffee even cost money.

Folks, this is one of the good auto repair shops -- they tell you what's wrong, they don't try to "up sell" repairs that you don't really need, and the work is of excellent quality. I've had timing belts replaced, tune ups, and a host of other repairs that are done right the first time. Other people I know have had the same experience. I've no idea why a previous reviewer complained about the waiting room, but it's nice with couches, rocking chairs, coffee, and a TV.

As a driver of a 13 year old vehicle I have encountered many problems locating a good auto repair location before finding Bass Mims Tire & Service Company. When I bring my vehicle here, I receive excellant and timely service, with my vehicle ready when it is supposed to be. They are able to locate parts for my older vehicle. Thanks for the great service!

If you are thinking of getting your tires changed or vehicle work done here, think again. This place has no respect for customers. If they tell you an hour for the work, add an hour. If you don't pin them down, stop at the post office and have your mail forwarded to you. The waiting room is a filthy holding cell. Better conditions at Guantanamo Bay for Al Quaida terrorists than for Bass Mims victims. Things live and replicate in the bathroom. Stay away - Stay away! Lots of places to buy tires and get wrenches turned. Spend your money someplace where the establishment respects its customers. Not at Bass Mims Tire & Service Company (Winder, Georgia Goodyear).
