Although I have already previously submitted a review for this midwife, it is with a heavy heart that I feel impelled to add to it. In the last two years Kelli Johnson has lost two full term babies - the baby girl in 2013 was lost in virtually IDENTICAL circumstances to my son - as well as leaving another baby girl with serious physical impairments, including seizures. In February 2004 my son was left with catastrophic disabilities because Kelli Johnson was totally unaware there was a serious problem, furthermore she did not transfer me to hospital (ignoring my birth plan) even though I was pushing for five hours; meaning hospital intervention was, in fact, required by law. Once my son was born she was agonizingly slow to react and nor did she carry the requisite resuscitation equipment that may have prevented or at least lessened the oxygen deprivation my son suffered. I fully understand that there may be skepticism about the veracity of my account especially as the Florida Department of Health - although currently investigating these cases … and more - is moving at a snails pace. AlI I urge you to do before placing the safety of your baby in the unskilled hands of someone who has no compunction about lying, committing forgery and has at least three lawsuits pending is simply to talk to several other midwives in the area. If I am a bitter ex client who's distorting the truth and giving home births a bad name then they will be only too quick to say so because my reviews - if untruthful - are devastating to the midwifery community. If they do not contradict this information then read between the lines and please, please, please go elsewhere so you may deliver the healthy baby that Kelli Johnson robbed me - and other women - of. Whatever your decision, I wish you a joyful, peaceful birth.

This midwife rocks! I VBAC'd twins safely and fearlessly at home with Kelli by my side the whole way. TWINS AT HOME, and this is after a traumatic experience with my first born that led to a C-section. Not only will I never want a hospital birth again, but I am insisting on Kelli Johnson as the midwife to assist our births from now on. She has won both our confidence and our hearts. Not to mention that with her support, love, and encouragement, I was able to dig deep into my soul and pull out my intrepid strength. I love you Kelli!

My daughter and her husband made the decision to give birth to our grandchildren at home. My wife and I are old school and wanted nothing more than a normai hospital birth for our grandchildren - certainly we were concerned with the what ifs and such. Kelli Johnson's able hands have managed to convert us into home birth advocates!!! Through the education we received from Kelli and by way of the many resources that she has suggested, we learned about the world of midwifery and the *many benefits* that it offers to the babies' lives who start this way. It is not enough to write here our newfound faith in midwifery, however. If you are reading this and considering home birth as a viable option for your family, make no mistake about it: Kelli Johnson is top-notch! She was available to answer even our questions about the process. Our daughter always felt safe and at ease with Kelli by her side. Her care is superb and her knowledge is quite impressive. Once my wife and I felt assured that our daughter was in good hands, Kelli Johnson's love and compassion added the extra bit of confirmation for us that our daughter was on the right path with her. As concerned and discerning grandparents: WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND KELLI JOHNSON AS A MIDWIFE.

My Wife and I are quite pleased with the SUPERB care that Kelli Johnson has given our family. Having had other midwives in the past, we can both truly say that Kelli Johnson's expertise is second-to-none. My Wife and I are both professionals with higher education degrees and we approached our decisions to have a homebirth and to hire Kelli Johnson quite scientifically. Our growing family has experienced our latest births with Kelli and those have been cherished moments and all on OUR time. Kelli respected our space and never interfered with the birthing process. And throughout the process, we were both comforted by knowing and feeling that Kelli can handle anything. As the father of one of the many families that Kelli has assisted I would like to encourage other dads who might be on the fence regarding homebirths to explore the option - coming from an initial skeptic, I can attest to the fact that this was the best birthing option and decision that we made for our children. And to be clear, Kelli Johnson's professionalism and impressive capability allows my Wife and me to recommend her with the highest degree of confidence.

Kelli is wonderful and amazing! I can personally share that I have had my last two children with Kelli. My first child was planned to be birthed at the Winter Park Birthing Cottage but unfortunately that birth ended in a C-Section. Once I aligned myself with Kelli for my last two pregnancies, she has been a guiding light of strength, knowledge, goodness, and capacity that bolstered my own female strength to help me peacefully bring into this world children that will forever be marked by the way they were beautifully ushered here to this life. Kelli is in a league of her own and is constantly informing herself and maintaining herself abreast of developments both medically, nutritionally, and those in the midwifery community. Her knowledge and strength are unparalleled here in Central Florida and she is truly a credit to the practice.



But beyond her professionalism, Kelli possesses the most endearing compassion and her being exudes love onto each family with which she works. I am ever so grateful that my children were completely surrounded by love and gratitude as they were coming into this world. I have no doubt that Kelli's love and grace had much to do with the fact that my children easily slept through the night almost immediately!



As a final note, please be weary of the recurrent negative reviews by the same person as it is likely a slander campaign by a competitor. And even more unfortunate are those incidents in which babies wrap their necks with their cords multiple times early in the pregnancy. Certainly a mother whose life circumstance dictates that she must endure such a hardship has every right to be angry. It is truly a sad reality that some babies just don't make it through gestation unscathed where no amount of skill could possibly assist them toward a healthy survival. And as one reviewer painted a heinous picture of Kelli Johnson as an unprofessional midwife, her portrayal begs the question: How then is she still gainfully licensed and practicing? I for one am thankful that her righteousness has survived such attacks as is usually the case with the upstanding and well-intentioned people of the world.



I represent hundreds of mothers who are forever ingratiated to Kelli Johnson for her love, support, dedication, and constant belief that we are more than capable of naturally birthing and how she supports us post partum throughout that first year and beyond.

I do not recommend this midwife. Personally I would completely avoid this provider! There are many OTHER provider's available to you that would truly "Take Care of YOU"
