Ledgebrook Kennel

I was completely disappointed by the kennel. I was told that it would cost $100 to board two dogs overnight. When my mother arrived home with the dogs in tow and handed us the bill it was $275. They charged us $45 per dog for a fecal exam without our permission, charged us $27 per dog for nail clippings, and charged us $16 per dog to let them out of their cages. It was outrageous. The only reason we went with them was because Petsmart would not take them because their vaccinations were done one day prior instead of two days prior. I will NEVER EVER go to either Ledgebrook Kennel or Woburn Animal Hospital again.

I have been boarding my dogs at the Ledgebrook Kennel for over 15 years, and I have always been amazed at the quality of care that my dogs have received. The only complaint I would have is that the kennel is so popular that a reservation has to be made many weeks in advance; this is the first choice for boarding for most of the people in this area, including many of my friends and neighbors. Whenever I have had to take my dogs somewhere else, it has been a disappointment compared with Ledgebrook Kennel. The staff is kind and courteous, the dogs are given a lot of individual attention, and the fact that it is on the premises of the Woburn Animal Hospital means that any health needs or problems will be taken care of as they arise. This gives me peace of mind when I leave them off. They have a day care facility, which I use on occasion when my dog needs a day to play. They are given the highest rating by the American Boarding Kennel Association. In my experience, that rating is well deserved. The Golden Paws website says that this location is 14 miles away. In fact it is less than 2 miles away from Golden Paws.

took our dog there over a month ago for the first time & last. no pick up hrs on sunday AM. they charge you the whole day even if you pick up within their window---without notifying you---that's $40 you can tack on. i complained & they offered to refund the day AND the bath (which i agree is excessive and said they didn't have to, just the $40) and no one--and i've spoken to 3 people including two that called themselves managers--knew/knows how to refund credit cards. Just really frustrated with them--have given up on my $40 refund---I suggest finding someplace else.
