Through regular use, lint and other debris will eventually restrict airflow to and from your clothes dryer. This can impede the dryer's performance and post a serious fire hazard. As the lint and dust collects in the vent, the dryer motor will overheat and the lint will catch fire. Simple cleaning of the dryer's vent hose is all that's needed. Northstar Services Inc. has been in business since 1983, and part of the Better Business Bureau since 1997 Ideally you should have your dryer vent cleaned every 6-12 months (varies on usage). I also recommend to all of my customers to get a rodent guard installed on the outside on the house on the dryer vent. If your vent is accessible to mice or other little critters, a rodent guard will prevent them from crawling and getting stuck in your dryer vent.
