Founded in 1973, Youth Service Bureau Collaborate is a nonprofit organization that provides personal and social services to youths and families in southwestern Indiana. Its after-school programs include conflict resolution, resistance skills, and gang and violence prevention services. The organization s healthy families program includes financial aids, food and housing assistance schoolreadiness, child care and job training sessions. Youth Service Bureau Collaborate also imparts budgeting, timemanagement and stressmanagement skills to parents. In addition, it provides information on child development issues and assists parents in building a strong support network of famililies, neighborhoods and churches. The organization also promotes parent-child interaction through various activities and curricula. It additionally offers drug screening, crisis management and educational intervention services. The organization is a member of the United Way and is located in Evansville, Ill.
