The best veal parm I have ever...

The best veal parm I have ever eaten!!!! the lunch portion filled me so I cant imagine how big the dinner portion is but I cant wait to find out. We have eaten here a few times and I have loved everything I have eaten. the pan seared haddock is to die for. I would have to say this is #1 on my list of places to eat in the city.

You must try Rosalina's Kitchen!!! OMG, the food is amazing. I've never ever tasted sauce so good in my life. We have been there a bunch of times and I'm working my way through the menu. Everytime we go we all order different meals so we can taste test everything. Everyone always LOVES every meal. LOL.

Try the meatballs!!!!!!!!!!!!

My friends and I went to Rosal...

My friends and I went to Rosalina's Kitchen this past weekend and so LOVED this place. We frequent BYO places since we like to hang around and have dinner without the pressure of spending too much money having cocktails. We were greeted with open arms and really felt like we were part of an Italian family. Really cool experience. You could tell there were a lot of people in the place who felt the same way. It was kind of like sitting in your aunts dining room on Xmas Eve.

We started our dinner with the clams appetizer and was it fantastic! Loaded with flavor and rich juice, we sopped up every last bit of it with awesome crunchy bread. Soooo good!!!!!! Each of us ordered the following stuff and we all loved it. I had the linguini and clams, two of them had shrimp scampi and one had the chicken parm. Let me start by saying that the shrimp were the biggest shrimp I have ever had in a meal. They were like jumbo shrimp cocktail size and we each had eight in our plates! My friend who had the chicken parm said it was the best she ever ate in her life (even better than her mothers!) and the linguini and clams that I had was AMAZING!! It was full of fresh clams and taste!

So, as you can see, we LOVED it here and will be back! Trying out the desserts too next time. Didn't realize how stuffed we'd be by the time we left. :)

What a nice place......The foo...

What a nice place......The food was better that we could have imagined! True Italian fare. I was at the restaurant with my family for a casual dinner out. We got much more than we bargained for. Let's start with the appetizer, I believe it was a special-Stuffed Portabello Mushroom Cap, was stuffed with three cheeses and topped with golden toasted bread crumbs, better flavor than you can imagine! We also had the fried Calamari, which reminded me of the way my grandmother used to make it. It was obviously freshly cut (not the stale tasting rubbery frozen rings you often get) it was delicately coated and lightly fried-unbelievably tender. This was worth the trip itself. For entrees, we had the meatballs and gemelli. The meatballs were better than I had ever had before and the gravy (tomato sauce) was to die for. My husband had the pan seared haddock which was perfectly prepared and the portion size was more than generous. My daughter had the Lemon Chicken, which our pleasant and knowledgeable server said was the restaurant's best seller.....no wonder why. It was a delicious combination of tender chicken with a light cream sauce complimented with baby spinach. An excellent dish. Couldn't have asked for a better dinner overall. It was very reasonably priced, particularly for the large portion size and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Add BYOB and friendly, efficient service and you have a winner at Rosalina's Kitchen!

What can I say? I was excited ...

What can I say? I was excited to see this place open as I literally live a block and a half away and my husband and I LOVE Italian food. Called for take out Saturday night, it was difficult to hear the person taking my order because of the BLARING music in the background, come to find out the host station is positioned under a speaker. And speaking of that, the person who brought the food out and rung my husband up was rude to him. HMMMM he is like the most easy going person ever, so that was not cool.

We ordered Mozzarella sticks, Calamari, Blue Cheese wedge and Chicken Parm over linguini.

The Mozz sticks were typical bar food variety, nothing special. Calamari was like nothing I have ever seen before- and hope never to see again. Cut randomly and odd, half were not even coated in breading, the ones that had gotten coated were oily. The calamari its self was tough and the way the chunks were lobbed off was like eating lobster claw rubber bands that had been chopped in two. The portion size was a joke barely enough for one person forget about sharing. Chicken Parm portion was also quite laughable and bland. You would fair better at any of the many local pizza places around town. The ONLY good thing was the Blue cheese wedge, I would have liked to see more tomatoes to offset the super salty blue cheese.

The gravy was ok, nothing to get excited about. We were $40 lighter and still hungry afterwards, we won’t be back.

I had such high hopes for this place

I can understand that you are not pleased with a less than favorable review, but the experience was bad enough that I felt the review needed to be written. Maybe it was an off night and your food is normally fabulous, but after ordering such basic food and being so disappointed, we will not waste our time or money again. I can assure you the portions were not large, never mind enormous, I only wish I had taken pictures. I can also assure you with my extensive culinary background that I am more than familiar with fresh calamari as it is one of my favorite proteins, your calamari was tough and oily. It is also quite easy to have a bustling dining room when your dining room is so small. As I mentioned, I called the order in, we did not choose get take out because your establishment was busy.

I do find it interesting that some of these commenter’s seemed to have taken offense to my review? Its funny, not one of those glowing reviewers posted anything on any of the major review sites, just on this one, the one with the bad review………Hmmm

That being said I am glad that you have a clientele that is very happy with what you are serving, I wish you success

As the business owner of Rosalina's Kitchen, I have a lot to say about this review. First and foremost, our portion sizes are enormous, at least 8 ounces (ALWAYS) of fish or meat in every single dish. Our calamari is hand cut every day. We DO NOT use the standard frozen rings which you may be used to. Our host station is no where near a speaker with "blaring" music. What you probably were hearing was the bustling of a very busy restaurant on a Saturday night. Perhaps you were not able to get in for a seat and that's why you decided to have take-out instead. ?? I'm sorry if you were disappointed but I suggest you give us another try.

Home style cooking in a homestyle atmosphere

My family and I went to Rosalina's Kitchen for lunch today and it was amazing!!! I have never heard my father talk about food the way he did today. He said "it was the best sauce I have ever eaten" He had a shrimp and pasta dish. My mother and I had the eggplant parmigiana with linguine pasta. It was delicious!!! The sauce was made fresh and had so much great flavor. The eggplant was tender and melted in my mouth. Excellent!!

With the meals being so good we had to order dessert... freshly made and filled to order cannolis.... WOW!!! So light and creamy I could have had 10! Overall this new place is awesome! It is also BYOB so that was nice. You can bring the drink of your choice and enjoy it with family and friends or just borrow some people that are there... it was like going into an Italian home where everyone knows your name.... the Italian Worcester Cheers!!! We will definitely be going back soon! Thanks for a great meal Rosalina!!
