I will never go to this hospit...

I will never go to this hospital again!!!! My 15 year old had what I thought was bronchitis. I left her home from school to take her to urgent care but when she coughed and sneezed she saw blood. Then when she went to the restroom, she had a large amount of blood in her stool. We went to the ER at Wyandotte and after they took blood and did a chest x-ray they sent her home. They verified it was blood in the stool but said that they don't do colonoscopies on 15 year old's at Wyandotte and her hemoglobin was ok so go home and if she continues to bleed go to Children's. When she gave them a urine sample, three hours after her bowel movement, she wiped and found more blood. She has no history of constipation, never been pregnant and she has pain in her stomach. The problem.... NO INSURANCE!!!! I don't care what they say, if she had insurance they would have run some test.

Find another hospital. Dearbor...

Find another hospital. Dearborn has great hospitals. My husband has been in this hospital awaiting surgery and is missing alot of work, may lose his job to amount of time missed because this hospital says their 'machines broke' and he has to wait for them to be fixed before he can have the needed surgery! Never heard of a machine breaking down in a hospital- I mean, dont they have more than one?! And what if it broke during surgery?! very sad to think he has to sit around and wait n miss work- we are in desperate need of money and the docs are acting like its ok to miss work. They dont live check to check! His boss may even fire him over this! Im sad and worried for my husband and his job and the trouble we will have when he is layed off because this hospital doesnt have proper working machines! Please go somewhere else- finding work is hard out here, and if u have a job and dont want to lose it, find a hospital that takes this all into consideration! Or plan on trying to raise a family on unemployment.

I came in by ambulance at 10:3...

I came in by ambulance at 10:30pm for chest pain, racing heart, and trouble breathing. I didn't see a doctor until 11:30. He told me he would order medication and some tests. At 12:30am they finally did a CAT scan. The CAT scan tech was so incompetent that she neglected to open the clamp on my IV line and my IV tube exploded spraying contrast all over me! She then connected the contrast tube to another port further down the tube and continued the CAT scan with only half of the contrast left in the system. When I got back to the ER treatment room, nobody reconnected any of the monitors or IV fluids that I was on before the CAT scan. A nurse finally showed up with the medication that was ordered over an hour and a half earlier! I told him about the IV and he tried to use it anyway! When I complained about the delays and seemingly uncaring attitude, he snapped at me and basically told me it's not his problem and then said I shouldn't be yelling at him! I finally convinced him to replace the IV tube, and he did all the while telling me that he is not responsible for my horrible treatment and I should be thankful to him for the medication he was giving me. After replacing the tube, he gave me the medication by slamming it into the IV! This gave me a huge head rush and made me feel even worse. That brings me to now. I'm still sitting here with no fluids and no monitors reconnected and feeling worse now than when I came in! Absolutely ridiculous!!!!

Excellent care

My family has been coming here for years. They treated my father with great care and respect. I come here for proceedures on the mezz level and the staff is friendly. As busy as it gets in there - they have a proceedure to follow that works very well and it is done perfectly.
