I love this place! We go 2 or 3 times a month and the. Food and service is great! I usually get one of their smaller portion plates and the food it fresh, and hot, there coffee is wonderful too! I had a family dinner and the seri ice for that large of group was prompt, correctly made and well seasoned. I recommend breakfast on Sundays, lunches on Tuesdays and dinner on Fridays ..

Good: chicken salad, tuna salad, service,
Bad: 1st dinner experience. Food was not what we ordered, overcooked green beans were brown. Noise. In winter it is cold.

Our first time there was disastrous to say the least. We were welcomed by friendly staff and sat in a cozy corner of the place. The waitress took our order and brought our drinks. And we sat there, and sat there, and sat there. The table next to us was complaining amongst themselves how long it had taken for them to get their ticket and change (should have taken that as a clue!) After 20 minutes had passed, and no visit from our waitress, it started to become obvious that there might be a delay. Did I mention we were sitting and waiting with our 15 month old? HA! Those 20 mins felt painfully long considering that she finished her drink within the first 5 and there were no refills offered. The waitress noticed herself that it was taking a long time so she went to check with the kitchen. The cook replied that the ticket looked like it was scratched so he did not make the order!!! The waitress (a nice lady) came to inform us that they had fixed the problem and were JUST NOW STARTING TO MAKE THE ORDER. At that point, we decided it was best for us to leave since we had a place to get to and by then, 35 minutes had elapsed. The worse part was that when we left, the manager followed us to minimize our concern with the following remark “Come on guys, your order was put in JUST 20 MINUTES AGO, we are NOT MCDONALD’S! We make things fresh.” WOW! And again, WOW! Was that remark really necessary??? We did not make a scene inside, did not yell, were very calm when leaving, and very polite when we stepped out. Did she really have to follow us all the way outside for that?!!! However, YES, you are definitely not McDonald’s! Not because of the obvious contrast in the promptness of service, but because a teenage manager at McDonald’s would have had more sense to mitigate the situation than replying: “Come on guys, it has only been 20 minutes, we are not Burger King!” In short, this is a perfect place to go to if you have a) no kids b) kids that thrive during wait c) love being patronized by management when a concern arises. If you don’t fit these criteria, really, don’t bother.
