China Buffet

Me and my family whated to try some thing new. Never Again they first put us in the back because my wife had a see-eye-dog. They said that my wife is not allow to uses her dog to help her get a round because the dog mite scare people. And i or my son had to get her food for her. WARNING they like to discriminate.

Food is very good, prices are comparable to other similar places. Have eaten there several times & have had takeout a few times, food has always been good.

This restaurant was absolutely awful. The food was horrible and the service was even worse. My friends and I stopped there because we'd never been there before and wanted something different. When we looked at the buffet, everything looked like it had been sitting out for quite a while. We did get a little of the fresher-looking items to try, but looks were deceiving as we tasted the food. The lo mein noodles were grossly overcooked and slimy as well as flavorless, the green beans were way overdone and the tips were tough and dried out, and my girlfriend bit into a piece of chicken to find a mass of tendons and fat hidden by soggy breading. When we went up to the counter and offered to pay for the $2 each fountain pops we got and leave, the woman at the counter wouldn't let us. She said we ate a few bites so we had to pay for it all. I said you had to take a bite to fully realize how horrible it was, but she wouldn't even listen and kept talking over us saying we had to pay like we were trying to rip her off. In the end, we payed $18 to get out the door and away from there. I ended up throwing up and my friend experienced some digestive problems as well. My deepest regret is not puking right there at the table. So please, anyone who happens to read this, SAVE YOURSELVES! Do NOT go to China Buffet. There's a much better buffet down the street on 28th and Englewood.
