X-rays
Digital x-rays, also known as digital imaging allows us to take images of your teeth using 90% less radiation than regular dental x-rays. The digital images can be immediately sent to and displayed on a computer screen. You and Dr. Romas can view the images on the chairside computer screen so you can now see what Dr. Romas is explaining to you. If Dr. Romas is monitoring a dental issue the computer can compare digital images, subtract out anything that is the same, leaving a clear image of any changes. This allows us to see changes that are not noticeable to the naked eye, and allows us to make educated treatment plans.

Teeth Cleaning
When plaque and tartar are allowed to buildup it can begin to irritate/infect the gums and cause redness, bleeding and swelling. If left untreated it can lead to more serious problems such as gum disease (periodontal disease), which is the leading cause of tooth loss in adults. Periodontal disease, which is usually painless in its early stages, has been linked to cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, osteoporosis, premature births, lung disease, and Alzheimer’s disease. Therefore, early detection and treatment are paramount in the successful management of the disease. This treatment usually consists of through, but gentle cleaning of the affected areas to remove all of the bacteria and build up. After treatment our hygienist will discuss a home care regiment tailored specifically for each patient that will help you maintain a healthy mouth.
Fluoride Treatment
For older children we will do an exam, clean their teeth, do x-rays if indicated, do a fluoride treatment and instruct them on the proper way to brush and floss their teeth.
Dental Sealants
Dr. Romas routinely places dental sealants because they are an extremely effective way to prevent cavities in children. Sealants fill deep fissures or pits in teeth, especially molars, where bacteria can accumulate and cause cavities. Applying sealants does not require the removal of any tooth structure so it is a safe, painless procedure. Paired with routine cleanings, fluoride treatments, solid at-home oral hygiene, and a healthy diet, cavities can be a thing of the past.

Fillings
As an alternative to metal amalgam fillings we provide natural tooth colored fillings, also known as nonmetallic composite fillings. Many times large amounts of healthy tooth structure needs to be removed when prepping the tooth for a metal amalgam filling. Over time this may cause the tooth to become weak, break or crack which may necessitate the placement of a crown. Composite fillings are bonded to a tooth so only the diseased part of the tooth needs to be removed allowing the tooth to maintain much of its strength and integrity.
Veneers
If you find yourself hiding your smile because of imperfections such as chips, stains or gaps we have the perfect solution. Porcelain veneers are thin, durable porcelain shells that are bonded to your teeth, quickly improving your smile. They are a very conservative approach, and require little or no removal of the natural tooth structure. They are shaded so they fit in beautifully with your natural teeth for a flawless smile.
Crowns
When a tooth’s structure is to weak or damaged to support a filling we can place a natural looking porcelain crown. Porcelain crowns fit over damaged teeth, restoring their strength, health, and beauty. Crowns can be matched to your natural tooth color so the fact that you have had dental work is easily concealed.
Bridges
Dental Bonding
Composite bonding refers to any composite material that is bonded to the tooth structure. Composite bonding can be used to close gaps between teeth, or cover stained, chipped or cracked teeth. It is a very conservative method to restore teeth to their natural beauty with the removal of little or no natural tooth structure.

Root Canal Treatment
Endodontics is the discipline in dentistry that deals with the blood vessels and nerves within the tooth. The most common endodontic treatment is the root canal. A root canal is a procedure done to remove infected or inflamed tissue, and refill the nerve canal within the tooth. A root canal allows you to retain your natural tooth while eliminating the infection/inflammation. Our office uses the rotary endodontic files and modern anesthetic techniques to complete root canals quickly, efficiently and virtually pain free.

Dentures
Dental implants are a durable, natural looking solution for patients missing one or more teeth. Implants consist of an artificial titanium root that is implanted into the jawbone. A restoration is then placed on the implant for a tooth that looks and feels like your natural teeth. Dental implants can be used to support a single restoration, a bridge and even full dentures.

Dental Implants
When you are missing teeth you begin to loose bone in your jaw due to the missing tooth roots. Because dental implants act like a natural tooth root they can prevent jawbone shrinkage normally associated with missing natural teeth. Dental implants help your jawbone to maintain its natural strength and density. Jawbone loss can affect your bite (the way your teeth fit together) and even make your face begin to collapse making you look years older than you are.

Invisalign Orthodontics
Invisalign straightens teeth by using a custom-made series of aligners crated specifically for you. These aligners are made of smooth, comfortable and virtually invisible plastic that you wear over your teeth. Wearing the aligners will gradually and gently shift your teeth into place based on the exact movements we have planned out for you. There are no brackets to attach and no wires to tighten. You just pop in a new set of aligners approximately every two weeks, until your treatment is complete. You’ll achieve a great smile with little interference in your daily life. The best part about the whole process is that most people won’t even know you’re straightening your teeth.
Braces
Dr. Romas does not want any child to have to experience a traumatic tooth injury if at all possible. That is why he chooses to provide complimentary custom mouth guards for all child athlete patients. The custom-made mouth guards fit over your child’s upper teeth. If your child wears braces or has another fixed dental appliance, we may suggest a mouth guard for the lower teeth.

Teeth Whitening
Tooth whitening is an effective way to enhance your smile by removing stains caused by coffee, tea, colas, tobacco products and aging. We offer both take home and in office whitening options.
Cosmetic Dentistry
If your teeth are dark or worn and make you look older, if gaps or chips make you feel self-conscious, or if crooked or discolored teeth stop you from smiling fully, Cosmetic Dentistry can help.
