Stone Connection was started by John's father, Nelson Motes, in 1972. John took over the operation in 2002, and has continued in his fathers tradition of providing the highest quality craftsmanship, combined with total customer service. He takes great pride in providing the best possible product for each customer, and treating each customer as he would like to be treated.John's wife, Kelly, started working with the company in 2005, after they relocated the company to the WNC area. She has enjoyed learning about the granite industry, and loves the people that Stone Connection serves. A Georgia native, she has enjoyed the mountains where they raise their two sons, Miller (11) and Elijah (10)
