Metro Parks, Serving Summit County acquires, conserves and manages various natural resources that include parks, conservation areas and hiking trials. Its parks provide various amenities, such as picnic areas with grills, boat rental facilities, children s play areas, soccer fields, and basketball, volleyball and tennis courts. Additionally, the organization offers a range of shelters and pavilions. The organization also offers various recreational programs that include musical concerts and hayrides. The organization manages more than 9,000 acres of area and has an annual attendance of over 3 million visitors. Established in 1921, the organization is a political subdivision of the state of Ohio. Its office is located in Akron, Ohio.
