When I went in to check the place out before brining my dog, I was first told I couldn't see it because there was only 1 person working. The outside area is gravel and concrete, with no grass, despite the fact that the website shows grassy areas. She tried telling me the state won't allow grass, but the daycare center in Wolcott has a huge grassy area. I simply don't understand how 1 person can possibly care for all the dogs, especially considering they are all in different areas. Their prices are good, as are the hours, and the flexibility is excellent, but I don't think that makes up for the lack of staff to interact with the dogs.

I highly recommend Beacon Paws. I have brought my dog here multiple times since they have opened. The staff is caring and attentive and they always take great care of my dog.

While the price is fairly cheap, I guess you get what you pay for. There does not seem to be a high staff:dog ratio. Every time I've walked into the place it has been hot. I've been told they use air conditioning for the dogs but I've never felt it on. And my dog always acts like he is dying of thirst as soon as I pick him up. Limited play area. The outside play area is a bunch of large jagged rocks, I'm guessing for drainage but still a poor excuse. The last time my dog went here, he came home with kennel cough and fleas. The staff there are friendly but I will not be bringing my dog back to Beacon Paws again. Very dissatisfied.

I been taking my dogs to beacon paws for a year now, and my recent visit my dog came back without his original leash I had drop him off with. That night my dog was acting weird and would not eat his dinner, the next day he started to vomit the leash in pieces. Now I know what happen to the original leash. Also the way they groom their dog is not as good as petsmart or petco, and even after asking for extra brushing time for extra pay my dog coat never the way I like it. We are moving on and taking our pets somewhere else.

I brought my dog down for his first trial day, "Monty" did great, I bough 5 half day passes. Monty was bitten on his 4 half day visit, I not upset about the incident, it can happen, I was surprised at the way it was handled. George the owner has not to this date 3/7 called me to find out how Monty is doing, what co ferns me the most is they did not know he had been bitten, I found it the next morning when Monty was not feeling well, did not want breakfast. I am a vet . Tech and took him into work, it was a deep puncture and required to be flushed out and Monty needed antibiotics.I believe the dog who bit Monty should be paying for his treatment, had I not worked at a veterinarian office it would have cost twice as much as it did, it concerns me that they have no idea who bit Monty , which tells me they leave the dogs unattended, Dogs that do not leave together should never be left alone at any time! Sara has Ben the only one concerned about how Monty is doing. I will never be going back their and would never recommend them to anyone! On Monty last prepaid day, when I picked him up at 4 pm there were at least 15 dogs that I saw and George was the only person their to supervise them, Not Good!

I went in to Beacon Paws today to inquire about Doggie Day Care and the owner George was great! He was very informative and really pays individual attention to all the dogs that board and play there. I will be starting my dog, Sarafina, at day care there this week! Definitely a must to check out for your dog.

I take my dog Benny to Doggie Daycare at Beacon Paws and am thrilled with it. The staff are wonderful and great with my dog. He is happy to go there while I'm at work and I am happy to leave him where he is getting the care and exercise he deserves.
