Rickett's Glen Hotel

Food used to be great. Each meal was raised by five dollars since the last time I was there, five months ago. If the food is good, I don’t mind paying the extra money. I ordered the Chesapeake haddock with crab, and they didn’t use real butter. Seems like they used a fake butter. Maybe soy oil. We also ordered the stuffed mushrooms which I normally wonderful. This time, they definitely lacked flavor. The service was substandard and our waitress was rude. We watched her go outside to smoke, and come right back to work. We will not be eating there again. We used to frequent the restaurant for special occasions but sadly, they lowered their standards. It’s also a pretty dirty place.

Resturaunt has good menu, good service, great beer selection. OK prices but the bar, which does a land-office business every day, is not really separate enough from the Resturaunt and gets loud and rowdy at times. Best bet: eat on the deck in good weather.
