Sweet Basil

I have eaten at Sweet Basil dozens of times since it opened a few years ago. The food has always been exceptiona and the value was remarkable.



The service has always been great until recently. I walked in to place a take out order. It was 5 minutes before I was acknowledged. My ticket was lost and it was 20 minutes later that I was acknowledged, and my order placed again. My check was left with me for another 10 minutes before someone came to take my payment, and another 10 minutes before it was returned to me. An important note to be aware of - this is a very small restaurant, only 7 tables were filled, with more than 5 people for waitstaff. It wasn't like they couldn't see me - they just didn't pay any attention.



There is a newer location in Lewisville that I have frequented since this experience in Denton; I have had only positive experiences at the Lewisville location.
