Would not recommend at all first off was not told that I could not bring my breastfeed infant back with my child on the phone. If you have a big family with little children and no one to watch your children do not go here. I was not impressed with this place. Needless to say all they were able to do is take the x-Ray of her tooth that is chipped. Also to make another app they could not get her for another week. Just overall not happy with this place.

ts suppose to be a kid friendly environment but was not due to two employees. One being the x-ray tech who treated my daughter so bad she no longer wanted to see the dentist. She was very ruff and had little patients. She had the nerve to holler at my daughter in front of me simply because she did not open her mouth wide enough. This same tech also hurt my 2 year old son. Another employee also rub me the wrong way as she told me and my husband we could not switch children during the visit because "they don't play that"! Now that just unprofessional. The only reason my husband came to the appointment is to help me with our son (terrible 2's). This same employee was so rude and not friendly at all. OAN the dentist Randy was awesome, very kid friendly, professional, and never once said anything about us attending to both our kids at the same time. If it were not for the dentist himself we would not be returning to KOOL SMILES!

I was there @ 1:58 For my Daughter's appt. @ 2:00. they had to put 2 sliver fillings, and because i had my little girl with me I had to wait in the lobby. My daughter did not come out until 4:45. They took her back there about 3. And around 3:40 she came out to get some water and had said they didn't even start. Not even a sorry for being late or anything. It was not the first time that this has happened.

When is an Emergency an Emergency

My 14 yr old daughter had work done with Kool Smiles in Lafayette at the end of July. She has since been complaining of severe pain. When I called they stated that I needed to make an appt. They scheduled her for an appt 3 weeks later. I called back and stated that now her gums we swollen and running fever and the side where the work was completed the swelling had no affected her eating and swelling in the face. The front desk clerk stated that they had already seen there emergency patient intake for the day and insisted that I come in the morning by 8:30 so she could be seen by the dentist. We got there at 8:15 and was logged in at 8:40 (staff were not there on time to open the business doors). I sat for over 2 1/2 hours and checked every 15 minutes to verify what the hold up was. The front desk clerk (who might I add was very unprofessional) stated that they would see her after all the 9AM appointments were completed. Not a true statement because the 9:30 & 10:00 appts were seen and released. Outraged I called my dentist office and stated my issues and she called and contacted a local associate and they stated if I can leave and come to there office they would see her immediately. We left Kool Smiles at 11:00 and went to the other dentist office. We walked in and was escorted immediately to the back for x-rays. This is TRUE customer service with an EMERGENCY. I was informed that the work that was done was completed on top of an infected tooth, and antibiotics should have been completed before any work performed. The dentist also stated that had I waited any longer she would have lost her MOLDER because of the damage. REALLY, is this how our children are treated?

NEVER BRING YOUR KID HERE! The...

NEVER BRING YOUR KID HERE! They had to verify my insurance 3 times before I went. The last time they called to verify was the day before my appointment and they didn't even have the insurances phone number. I had to give it to them. I get there in the morning and they tell me they tried to call me, which they did not, because my insurance said that they do not provide me with dental, which is all they provide me with. They also stated that if i wanted them to see my child i would have to pay for the visit since there billing department was closed and they were the ones that had to verify my insurance. My insurance which happens to be a big company has an automated verification line for when they are closed so that no matter what time it is you can verify our coverage but the billing department which was closed when i went would have to do it. So my child, shich i had to take out in the pouring rain, did not get to see the dentist. I filed a complaint with the main office line since their website does not let you write a review and i will be taking my daughter to a different dentist office.

Kool Smiles Denistry in Lafayette,La

I brought my 9 year old in to have the dentist look at a back tooth that was growing out of line from the others. They wouldnt let me go in the back with her which I didnt like but they told me it was because most kids do better without their parents in the room. The nurse came out and said that the tooth needed to be pulled so I trusted them and signed the consent form. When my daughter came out and showed me her mouth I realized they had pulled the wrong tooth! When I complained about it the dentist told me she pulled the tooth because it was decayed but when I looked at the tooth there was absolutely no decay anywhere. The dentist even lied saying that my daughter said the tooth was hurting her when actually my daughter repeatedly told her that the tooth did not hurt at all.Needless to say we will not be going back!
