Upon graduation, Ms. Schmitt served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable John McGroarty (Ret.) and the Honorable Timothy C. Williams. Her experience clerking provided intensive and valuable training in all facets of criminal and civil litigation. She is an experienced civil litigator with an emphasis on commercial litigation. She is also experienced in the area of construction defect and family law. Ms. Schmitt volunteers as a Children’s Advocacy Program (CAP) attorney representing abused and neglected children.

Eminent Domain
Eminent domain is the power of the government to take private property for public use. The process involves condemnation of property, appraisal of its value, an offer to purchase and negotiation for a fair price. S&P is experienced in advocating through all stages of eminent domain proceedings both for the government and for private citizens.

Mr. Doctors is an associate with Sylvester & Polednak practicing in both civil litigation and corporate transactions. Mr. Doctors joined S&P in 2021. He is barred in Nevada and Idaho. During law school, Mr. Doctors interned with Nevada Legal Services which exposed him to a wide range of legal issues, including unemployment insurance benefits, landlord/tenant disputes, probate and bankruptcy. After graduating from the William S. Boyd School of Law, University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Mr. Doctors represented clients in conjunction with the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada assisting with claims for Social Security Disability and appeals to the Social Security Administration. Mr. Doctors has also represented clients in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and in various matters before the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services.
