Finding a locksmith without shady business practices is like finding a needle in a haystack. However, Tom and his business are truly just that! I moved into my new condo a few months ago and kept slacking on adding a deadbolt. Having heard that there were rumored break-ins in my building, I knew it was time to get the deed done. Early on Saturday morning I scanned Online for a reputable locksmith company and came across American Local Locksmith. I filled out the online form and Tom responded to me in about 30 minutes. He was already in our area that morning and could be at my place within the hour. Seriously??? Bonus points! When he showed up, he explained the lock he would add to my door and the extra security it would provide. He was extremely professional and made me feel at ease the whole time he was doing the job.

It was bound to happen. Four days into my brand new apartment and I get locked out when I'm letting the IKEA delivery guy into my building. Though I'm glad I chose to wear shoes, I had nothing besides (thankfully) my cell phone in tow so the first thing I did was call American Local Locksmith.
We had met before and I'd heard great things but he truly is a miracle worker. Despite the short notice and his busy work schedule, he made time for me and showed up thirty minutes later at my door. It took him about 10 seconds to get into my apartment. Aside from my concern over how easy it was for him to break in, I was incredibly grateful. Service with a smile and efficient work.

Now, let's just hope he doesn't change careers and go criminal -- that dude has skills when it comes to getting through locked doors!

I have used American Local Locksmith several times and, like their service so much that I created an account just so i could review them.

Their prices are very reasonable, and John goes out of his way to make sure everything is just right. He is highly skilled and personable, a great combination!
I will not use anyone else for my locksmithing needs.

Just had my cylinder lock for my apartment changed by American Local Locksmith, Joel. He was absolutely amazing and fast! Joel was very friendly and explained everything about the lock that I currently had as well as the new lock. I will definitely be referring the business to other friends....Got the best bang for my buck AND I feel safe!

I needed a lock swapped out, I put in a request for a quote online and got a pretty quick response, John pinged me right away and scheduled a time to get the work done. When they ran late, I was updated periodically via their blackberry. I wish UPS and cable were so diligent.

They analyzed my old lock and door, made recommendations and gave me an option. The work is solid and great service.

just had the cylinder changed on my apartment door lock because my former super was recently arrested for using duplicate keys to break into apartments. Creepy, right? I went with American Local Locksmith after seeing all these positive Online reviews, and it was such a positive experience I feel like I have to chime in and give him five stars too.

Shon was right on time for our appointment, worked quickly, did the whole thing for exactly what he quoted me, and it turns out he got his dog from the same rescue place where I got my cat! I guess that last part doesn't really reflect on his locksmithing skills, but he was super-nice. If I ever need a locksmith again, no question about who I'll call.

American Local Locksmith was great! I called him in the morning and he was able to come to our location the same day to help us.

We have had a broken door knob for months and a terrible Super that keeps ""fixing"" it. After my fifth time that the doorknob fell out, I decided to contact Danny after all his great reviews online. And he lived up to them all!

Upon calling him, he asked me to send him a picture of the doorknob, explaining that many of the doorknobs in the area are old and he may not have the right parts for them (very true). He advised me that if he didn't think he could fix it he would refer us to someone else in the area. I found this to be very honest and helpful.

Luckily, he was able to help us! He was thorough, professional, and fast and very reasonably priced. I would use him again and recommended him to anyone in need of a locksmith.

Didn't catch the persons name at the end of the other line. However they were nice enough to pencil me in last minute. Was expecting them to arrive around 7pm but came around 4:30pm. Talk about quick turnaround.

Within 30 minutes, everything was replaced and paid for.

American Local Locksmith are a GOOOOOD!!!!

I got locked out and called American Local Locksmith tonight. Took them a bit longer to arrive than expected, but they more than made up for it with some of the best customer service I've ever had. Guys were very friendly on the phone and in person.

Scott did battle with an incredibly stubborn lock that would not give, and even made things harder for himself by not drilling out the protective plate. He could have easily have just insisted on drilling it out to make things simpler, but he worked around it. Then he took just as much time to make sure the new lock worked perfectly, even breaking out a small metal file to trim off a bit on the strike plate at one point.

Through all the frustrations he was upbeat and friendly. I would have been throwing things and cussing up a storm.

Definitely give these guys a try. I can't imagine you'll be disappointed.

When I called Friday to schedule an appointment for my lock to be switched out (not an emergency), the guy on the phone was absurdly nice--like, apologized-for-putting-me-on-hold nice. He offered me an appointment slot for 9:30-10 on Saturday, and then apologized that he couldn't be more specific than that! Have these guys heard of Time Warner and their four-hour windows?

Scott arrived right on time at 9:45 and got to work. He explained how the lock worked, told us everything we needed to know about ordering new keys, and even tightened the doorknob (free of charge) since it was loose. From buzzing our door to swiping the credit card on his Square reader, he was here less than 30 minutes.

Working with American Local Locksmith was absolutely painless. I highly recommend American Local Locksmith and would definitely call them again.
