April Mae's

In my 30+ years experience with April Mae's, I have had my hair cut a couple of times at other salons and have always eagerly returned to April Mae's. April does a fantastic job. She is very attentive to her customers, the prices are great compared to some others and employees are very friendly. Wonderful atmosphere! You always feel welcomed.

I’d like to say I’m very picky when it comes to a hair cut. I seen the same hairstylist for ten years before she went on to peruse a different career who always knew exactly what I wanted. Been everywhere and I stopped getting my hair cut regularly, until I came across April. She listens to you and repeats back exactly what you ask for. She also frequently asks questions to make sure your hair is exactly the way you want it. I couldn’t be more happier. She is Awesome!!!!!

I cannot stand when businesses put flyers on my windshield when I am in. Grocery store. THAT IS LITERALLY LITTERING ON MY BELONGINGS. Keep your trash off of people's vehicles.

I got my hair done here for homecoming, so when my mom called to set up the appointment she asked how much it would cost. April the owner said $45 for an updo and my mom made it a point to say I had long hair. I arrive to have a fairly young woman doing it and at first she tried to charge me for a side braid bun I could easily don't myself. After I said no she points to this beautiful curly updo. I say yes and all is going great until she repeatedly stabs my scalp with Bobby pins. Like I have blood scabs. After the hour and a half of pain we get done and it looks great until I get the price. The $45 updo suddenly skyrockets to a $75 hairstyle. Turns out she charged extra for my hair being long (only a little past my shoulders) 10 extra for curls ( which was not mentioned when she showed me the hairstyles) and 10 for the blow dry (I figured) she even had the nerve to ask for a tip. I have never spent that much on a single thing itself not even my homecoming dress. Needless to say my mom was

I went here with a coupon out of the local paper for highlights. I got a 3 color highlight which took about 2 hours which was fine. After my highlights were finished, It was getting near closing and the girl doing my hair ( which was the owner ) said she did not have time to blow dry my hair. She told me to go home and if there were any issues to come back. After blow drying my hair at home one of the colors was orange. I went back first thing in the morning and the OWNER said sorry nothing we can do you left. Are you KIDDING you made me go home with a wet head and won't make it right !!!! Never will I be back !!!!
