You do not have the right lug nuts to fit your wheels. This is even more important when going from steel wheels to alloy wheels. Trying to over torque the lug nut to the wrong wheels will not solve the problem and will eventually ruin the wheels or over stress the lugs causing them to either break or ending up with stripped threads.
